How many races are there in florida this year?
We are on like week 4 of Florida.itd be nice if the truck and X series raced on different tracks than cup series like they used to...

As far as Cup races go, there's only Daytona in August after this Homestead Race.
Also, Auto Club was originally scheduled and was cancelled, so they added in the Daytona Road course to make up a race. The Daytona Road Course wasn't even on the original 2021 schedule at all. Originally it was Daytona 500, Homestead, Auto Club, Las Vegas.
There really wasn't much of anywhere else they could be racing with the weather that's been going on across the U.S. and it still being February with Auto Club being cancelled.

NASCAR will have four 15-lap heat races the day before Bristol dirt race to set the lineup for the main event. Cup will also have two one-hour practices on that Friday...

NASCAR to announce more details about Bristol format next week. It announced both trucks/Cup get 2 hrs practice Fri March 26, four 15-lap heat races, starting at 4:30p ET for trucks, 6p ET for Cup on Sat March 27. Truck race follows that night, and Cup race Sun afternoon March 28

So, heat races will replace traditional qualifying. Since this is one of the 7 races with "qualifying", and 8 drivers in the DGG elligible for qualifying points, I wonder if the 8 drivers will have to be entered the morning of the heat races? Sounds like it.

The lineup for heat races for Bristol dirt will be done by draw. Then the 15-lap heat races (four each for trucks and Cup) will set the main event lineups for Bristol. Exact format to be announced next week.
