Not a bad idea to hybridize the championship with a combination of point leaders and winners. IIRC Nascar changed the system to what we have today because drivers could win a championship without winning a single race all season.NASCAR should consider updating playoff qualifications to:
1) All race winners in top 30 in points are in.
2) Top 5 in points are in.
3) If 1 and 2 combined is less than 16, fill playoff field to 16 based on points.
There can be more than 16 playoff drivers in this format (17 right now!). So at round one cutoff, 12 drivers advance.
Neither???Good thing or bad thing?
For whatever reason, NASCAR believes they want to deny any hard working and intelligent team from using that hard work and superior capability to develop a racing vehicle. As a long time fan, I can only say my attachment to racing and league membership are waning. JMO nmkpNeither???
Radar shows it will end dry.I think my lineups are toast! —-Did not pick drivers with rain experience!
Good to know. I hope that my drivers will still be running! These cars were not meant for rain! I remember the Daytona Road course n the rain. Also the first race at COTA!Radar shows it will end dry.
