Figured I'd start a thread for info on the next gen car... If you find any info feel free to post it here and post your thoughts about this new car that's coming next season...

Myself, I'm not looking forward to it, guess maybe I'm getting old and hate major changes and pretty set in my ways....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

other than the weird one lug nut thing the fact nascar is allowing toyota to use their supercar for stock car racing is now going to be the biggest move to make nascar not nascar.
if the other two makes used their super cars,gt and corvette, what would this race series look like?,
the IMSA series....

I posted before….some thread
This one lug thing is a HUGE change

Absolute total change of suspension and steering components
I hope race cars are faster.
As far as safer…..initial things I have read say that is not true

also worrying me
What about scrub teams using 1-2yr old equipment?
(I.E. Timmy Hill….etc)
They are gone.

don’t want this to turn into a F1 sort of thing.
2 dominant teams
The rest are happy with a top 5F

looks like College Football doing the same
Ugh

NASCAR delivers Next Gen chassis, answering some questions & raising others ... why the garage has concerns and why NASCAR plans to roll out the car in 2022 w/o delay. Some info on chassis supplier Technique. And some thoughts on 2-wk break.

@NASCAR's review with teams of the potential number switch is in the final stages, and barring a late change, it's likely that the decal will be moved, specifically forward, starting next season, per sources.

An announcement could come within weeks.

Sounds like a diesel running at 7,000 rpm with a loose baffle in the muffler.
Totally Agree

so I watched that video again
There is one shot of the driver side of blue Ford. I think I saw exhaust outlet on driver side. So instead of the exhaust collector only on R side of car, guessing that the difference in exhaust tone bc the car running true duel exhaust. Both exiting from R and L thru the rocker panels or skirts.
What y’all think????

Teams are preparing for a Next Gen organizational test (TBA on 1 or 2 cars per organization) for Charlotte road course in October. There are some Goodyear and manufacturer tests coming up.
One of those Goodyear test will be Daytona (TBA on how many cars), likely in September....

Great info from driver’s mouths

can anyone say what will happen to ‘basically’ privateer teams (Lajoie) or teams that are racing 1yr old equipment (T. Hill)
Thanks
