Question about Stage Points.

The default rules list that stage points are awarded as follows: 1st=10, 2nd=9, 3rd=8, 4th=7, 5th=6, 6th=5, 7th=4, 8th=3, 9th=2, 10th=1. Our league's stage points are being awarded as follows: 1st=5, 2nd=4, 3rd=3, 4th=2, 5th=1. Can anyone shed some light on why this is?

at some point your commish changed them (maybe by accident).
any commish can change them at the beginning of the season.
not sure if they can be changed after the season starts.
i'm in a league where there are zero stage points.
