While watching the race on Sunday, I noticed on the windshields that there was like a hole or vent at the top by where the mirror would be. Does anyone know what that is for?

That's a vent to supply the driver with some air. It's a tweak that Nascar added when drivers complained of excess heat in the cabin.

interesting.
if some drivers place their gloved hand in between the window net and the A pillar for better aero during qualifying, im sure the teams will tape that hole up quick like. unless rules.
i really wish that broadcast would stop talking about drivers going to a favorite bbq place and more about the new race cars they are driving now.
maybe a larry mcreynolds SHOW not just 10 sec segment during race.
